How Love My Nurse’s Speech Therapy team cares for patients
Speech Therapy (ST) deals with a variety of issues including:
- Eating/swallowing
- Talking/communicating
- Memory/cognition
ST will come to a patient’s home to: assess their ability to swallow different types of foods (solid, liquid and puréed); assess long- and short-term memory, critical thinking and problem solving skills; and assess the patient’s ability to interact with their environment and perform activities of daily living (ADLs).
Original Medicare covers 100 percent of the cost.
